To Ensure your child gets the most out of this experiences its important that you read this guide. 

Use this guide to help navigate through the advent box and guide your child’s adventure.

  • Green Envelope – Letter from The North Pole
  • Red Envelope – Letter to Santa
  • Sealed Christmas Foil Wrapper – Coin
  • Felt Envelope – Passport Stickers
  • Brown Envelope – Christmas Key
  • Paper wrapping – Building Blocks
  • Red Satchel – Ornaments and scratch and peel. Items to be separated across two different tasks.
  • Reindeer Food – Contains dried, rolled oats. Not for human consumption.


Step 1 – Open the Box Together

Unwrap the box with your child and take a moment to explore the contents of the box.
Point out the special envelope with the elf letter and passport. The passport will be
the foundation of the experience. Every time they complete a task place a star sticker
inside the passport on the star icon.


Step 2 – Begin with the Letter from the Elves


Read the letter along with your child. Encourage them to imagine the elves speaking
directly to them from the North Pole this will help set the scene.


Step 3 – Explore the Advent Passport


The passport is your child’s “ticket” to the North Pole.
At your own pace work your way to a new page and complete an activity together.
Place the “golden star stickers” provided once the task is completed to mark their
progress.


Step 4 - Dive into the Daily Missions


Some activities use items from the box (crafts, keepsakes)
Other are little elf “missions” that spark imagination and bonding


Step 5 - Create and Collect Keepsakes


The box is intended to be a Christmas keepsake for the family to capture the magic
of Christmas. Crafts and activities are designed to be displayed.
Hang ornaments on the tree, pin drawings to the fridge, or place treasures in a
memory box.


Step 6 – Grand Finale

On Christmas Eve be sure to place out the reindeer food. Explain that the Christmas
key is important for houses without chimneys and remind them that every activity
they completed helped Santa and the elves prepare for the big day.


Step 7 – Celebrate Completion


When the final activities are completed present them with the “Golden Polar Express”
sticker and the “Seal of Excellence" sticker inside of the “Red Fabric Envelope
Decoration”


Step 8 – Store the elements of the box as a future keepsake


When Christmas comes to an end pack away the box and all the precious memories
and save to look back on in the future.


Tips for parents

  • Keep activities fun and light-hearted.
  • Encourage storytelling, drawing and laughter.
  • If you miss a day, you can always catch up – the magic is flexible.
  • Most importantly, enjoy the time you spend together. The memories are the real
    treasure!
